The Senior and Disability Services program focuses on holistic and comprehensive services for elderly and disabled residents. The program administers a coordinated, integrated home and community-based service delivery system to assure that the needs of public housing seniors and individuals with disabilities are met.
These services are provided to individuals 62 years of age or older and to residents that are at least 18 years of age with disabilities. Through a comprehensive assessment process, the case manager determines the services necessary to meet the needs of each eligible person.
The program maintains partnerships with the Portsmouth Sherriff’s Department, Police Department, Fire Department, Senior Station, and Department of Human Services to enable public safety, community activities, and education.
